Hi people, im new here! But anyway:
My Ibanez 2354B SG bass, typical Gibson EB3 copy
pic1 and pic2

The front looks pretty good, but along the sides is pretty damaged. All electronics still work (mini humbuckers sounds amazing!) Short-scale neck, solid head. And also, doesn't seem to have a serialnumber anywhere.

Problem is.. I can't really find much information about it. While i'm pretty interested. I've been told it's like mid 70s. But that's about it. Anyone have more info for me? Is it rare at all? Worth something? Lame? amazing?

I hope you guys can help me out!
If you got more questions, be sure to ask.
And excuses for the lame english, but I'm dutch.. so thats my excuse, right there.

I can tell you that if there is no serial number on the neck plate, and the bass has the Gibson-style "open book" headstock (which it is), then it was probably made prior to mid-1975. If there is a serial on the neck plate, we can date it from that. I have the same bass, but I'm missing the pickup guard that goes over the strings. Yours is a very nice bass. I just sold mine (or, may have, anyway) on eBay and got $300 for it. Yours is more complete, so may be worth a bit more.

Hoi A3an

Ik heb precies dezellufdûûhhhh!

Nice bass and it´s complete and in original condition. This is the Ibanez model 2354B and it went in production in 1971. Until mid 1975 there were no serial numbers in the backplate, only "Made in Japan". Unfortunately it´s pretty much impossible to tell exactly what year it was built, so we have to stick to "somewhere between 1971 and 1975"

Kind greetz,
Harry

I'm thinking about selling it though. I put it online (marktplaats.nl) and they're bidding pretty good! And I only use it as room-decoration, so I figured I could probably make people happier with it.
