I was visiting my local guitar shop and the owner, knowing how much I'm into vintage Ibanez guitars, pointed me toward an early 70s (?) Elger that he just got in on a trade. A black Les Paul copy with no serial number, open book headstock and rounded corner block inlays. It was in pretty good condition considering its age and the fact that its black. Do any of you copy experts have any experience with or information about Elgers?

Jeff there is some info in the "untold story" about them. Hoshino USA was Elger company before Harry R. sold his 50% to the japanese. I believe they are the same as the Ibanez just a different name.
