Newbie here.

Just picked up this LP clone. Nice and tight construction, creme binding, loud as all &$%%#$ (and I mean that in a good way)

No name on it, but an interesting looking logo.

The sales guy said it could be a Dillion made in the Ibanez factory. Don't know it's vintage either.

I don't know enough about the lawsuit guitars to know one way or the other, but I do like the way it feels, looks and plays.

Any help would be appreciated.

It says Made in Japan on the back plate, and there is a serial number, but no manufacturer.

Picked it up in Alberta, Canada. Don't know if it was for the Canadian market, or if it just ended up here.

I have seen that headstocklogo on Aria guitars and I have a HondoII with that headstockshape.
Based on that I'd say it is a Matsumoku baby.

What is the serialno?

Even more Matsumoku style hints.

I think you should ask the guys at this forum:

Very nice and well informed group of Matsumoku gurus.

Wow. Nice guitar in the style of Mick Ronson (yeah I know his was a black custom with the front sanded off?. Mick Ronson was why I first started playing guitar (hence my moniker)ans why I love Les Pauls

I have one just like that with the matched flame maple top, it was new with the same headstock and had the name "Miranda" on it...typical construction but noteworthy for the figured top. Mine is stained dark though..

Funny you mention Mick Ronson Billy as that was my first Les Paul encounter as a "wow" factor :-) We only had a black and white telly in the 70's so his guitar appeared white on screen. Subsequently I had a facination for white customs not realising as a teenager and total guitar novice that Mick's guitar was a stripped to the wood black custom .

I have a 1981 white Tokai Lester custom that I affectionately christened "Ronno" just to remind me how great he was.

Sixvsix - You can buy a Ronno replica for $3,999 (plus shipping) from http://www.guitarhangar.com/

I knew someone on another forum who did so. Personally I'd just have bought an old black custom and sanded it down myself but doubt I would have the courage to do so.
