hi there,

I just got a 1977 Ibanez "Les Paul Custom".

Cherry sunburst, setneck, lefthand, some minor
dongdongs but looks original after I checked theweb for some info.

Since I don't know much about this kind of guitar:
What do you guys think about those?
Do they sound nice?

Is there anything you can tell me about the sound of it?

I am a real fan of those guitars. They do not sound the way they look, so it is not like a Gibby Les Paul. Probably because of the hollow top they sound more like a semi hollow. Now doesn't that make sense?
The super70's are my favourite pick ups by far.
If you know Custom Agents: they are exactly alike, construction and soundwise.

Hum...I must admit I only ever played a hollowbody epiphone Rivoli bass (It's hanging at the wall in my livingroom)...but I dont know haw hollowbody paulas sound like :-) - now this confuses me a bit.

Is it more for clean sound...or can I also tune in the distortion channel and do more rock/metal stuff with it?
(I know THE WHITE STRIPES use e.g. a hollow body in their songs and I really like THEM!)
