Hi all! Look at the satisfied smile on the face of this Ibanez hunter: I finally laid my hands on an Ibanez Plexi Dan Armstrong copy. I already had the guitar version, so now the two "brothers" are reunited in my collection. What d'ya think: nice couple huh? I'm proud enough to show off....... Kind greetz, Harry |

Hi Steph Yep, you're right: there is no logo on the guitar. So officially it is NOT an Ibanez (because it does not say so), but it's 100% Hoshino made. Maybe they "forgot" to put on a logo, but fact is that I've seen more "Ibanez" guitars without logo. The pups in the guitar: the one nearest to the neck is a Maxxon, the other one is a replacement of unknown origin. I haven't checked yet what pups are in the bass; probably Maxxon's too. Both the bass and the guitar were built around 1972. Kind greetz, Harry |

Congrats! I was thinking a while back that it may be worth getting a run of script logo's made up. I have one replacement but I haven't seen any on ebay only the block transfer. six |

Dan Armstrongs don't have logos on the headstock either.. Perhaps they were just copying that too at first? Jeff |

Both guitar and bass play very well and have comfortable necks. Both instruments are quite heavy. The guitar's sound is pretty average; the neck pickup (or should I say: the "middle" pickup since it is positioned in the middle of the body?) is kinda dull sounding, the bridge pickup is very powerful, but like I told before: it's a replacement. The bass however is very warm and deep sounding, without being old-fashioned. But to be honest: you all know I rather collect than play these old beauties..... Kind greetz, Harry |
