Not sure if its possible, but ebay has been flooded with mega cheap "ibanez's" from China. What do you all think? Genuinely cheap? or fakes? the link there is being advertised as an Ibanez K7, there is no fine print about it being a replica or anything? Arrgh how to tell???? |

If you have any doubts, don't buy it. More than likely it's a fake. |

Shifter: Take a look at the way they are running the auction. They are using private auctions and won't disclose the bidders, nor their own feedback comments. They are afraid of people knowing exactly what they are doing. BTW, hiding feedback seems counter to ebay's intent of tracking and supplying this info in the first place. Regardless, you canstill see that this seller has had 2 negatives in the last month. This is enough evidence to say: "stay away"! Add to that, they are offering fairly expensive guitars at $0.00 or rediculously low starting bids. Why? Even if they don't get serious bidding, they will make their money back on outrageous shipping charges. If this was a reputable dealer of brand new Ibanez guitars, why would they hide their feedback. Last, look at their return policy. Despite what it says near the top of the description: "Refund without any questions. Items must be returned within 7 days receipt", it states below that: "Return policy may differ for international buyers. Contact seller for more details. Learn more. Item must be returned within: 7 Days. Refund will be given as: Exchange" If you got the item shipped internationally from Hong Kong and found it was counterfeit, what in the world could they offer you in exchange? Another counterfeit? Do you really think that counterfeiters would act honorably after they got your money? |

Thanks for your help guys. It sucks how these scamming asses are bringing the ebay name down. I just wish there was something we could do to stop them. I have report many of the sellers auction I linked to ebay as potential fraudulent activity, but there are so many of them.. |

Quiksilver98 - yes, that Ibanez JEM Jr. is fake. Easiest way to spot this is that JEM Jr.'s came with 1/2 vines (from fret 3 through 12). http://www.ibanezregister.com/images/images-jems/555wh/jem555wh-1998int.jpg Let me state this another way. No JEM guitar from Korea came with full vine. Just to clear this up. HTH -Brent |

I understand that, but the logo is centered, the serial number is in the right place and the monkey grip is perfect size. It was actually the sellers mistake, it was a 7V after he sent me pick of headstock. Im not going to tell him that because then he might back out and charge me more. It's a real one. And eys the pickups are Dimarzio ( i have a set of evo2 in my strat so therefore i know at they look like) |

A JEM at 250 dollars is either fake or stolen. And I wouldn't want either of them. Bottom line. |
