Is the country of origin on the guitar anywhere? Try asking on the Unknown Brands board at http://www.matsumoku.org/ggboard/index.php - it might be an early or pre-Matsumoku Arai or Univox. That "LE-200" is quite remeniscent of an Aria sn - but I can't think if they made an LP Recording. Some of the early Arais had a zero fret & I have a weird Japanese SG copy with a zero fret and that solid tailpiece like yours - http://www.matsumoku.org/ggboard/viewtopic.php?t=2926 Can you tell what the neck construction is? My SG has a multi-laminate ply neck, which was apparently common on early Arai/Univox etc. |

Definitely not Eko, propably one of those 70s copy guitars, made with blank headstocks and then marked depending the "market area", my suggestion.. Headstock inlay is quite the same as in National-brand guitars seen in guitar magazines in the 70s..National was a brand-name for some importer in Chicago..Being european, I do not remember that distributor.sorry.. In European market: maybe Marchis, Columbus or similar.. Pickups are Maxxon, same as in Ibanez and a number of others.. |

Hi Bassassin It's most probably a Morris. I've seen a lot of Morris guitars and basses and one major point of recognition was a six-bolt neck/body joint. Morris instruments were 70's Japanese and of variable quality. To my opinion they never reached the Ibanez quality. Kind greetz, Harry |
