Hi all, I'm new to this nice site, I have a very nice '78 tobacco sunburst bolt on LP and I'm wondering if there is any sure way to id the pickups, by serial numbers, logos etc. The seller assured me the pickups were all original, I just like to be sure. Thanks, Peter |

I believe, that -78 Super 70s have the "Super70" text stamped on the bottom plate.. |

I actually have 2 sets of super 70s without the imprint, just the 5 digit serial. One set is the zebra exposed coils in my Flying V, the others came out of an LP (can't remember which model though). Anyone else come across this before? |

I just bought a black Ibanez Les Paul Custom w/bolt-on (not sure what year yet). I recently pulled the black open coil pickups out to put chrome covers on them and I noticed Super 70 imprinted on the bottom plate. |
