Can anyone tell me what kind of brand name tuners will work on my 1976 or older Deluxe 59er? Thanks |

You mean you're planning to exchange the original tuners for modern ones and want info about various brands considering the question whether they fit in the holes in the headstock? Harry |

Yes, do you know of a certain brand that would fit without making any mods to the headstock? |

IŽd say: take your guitar to your local guitar shop / luthier and try out a few types of tuners.... In the worst case youŽll have to widen the holes for the tuners a little bit because the shaft of new, modern tuners mostly are thicker than the shaft of the originals. But like I said: best is to try it out and get good advice and help from a luthier. Harry |

I may just try to put the original tuners on it. When I bought the guitar it had four tuners on it. I have most of the parts for the remaining two tuners. All it's missing is a gear, a screw for the gear, and four mounting screws. |
