I have a chance to pick up an early 2375. It looks to be in good shape. Is this a good playing guitar? What would be a fair price range? btw...My (3) single-coil BL550 Blazer is a great player! tnx, mk |

Beats the hell out of a blazer. The big difference with the 2375 is that it only has a 3 way switch instead of a 5 way. But it's not hard to alter if you want. Neck is very round and plays like a 60's strat. Sound is also very much like that bit of Strat Quack that you'd expect, but the pups are a bit noisey. Price over here for a good one $500 - $600Aud.

How do you get the Strat quack with only 3 settings? With a 5-way switch, it's positions 2 & 4. "Beats the hell out of a Blazer". Those are bold words! My Blazer is pretty damn good. I just cannot image the 2375 betting way better. Maybe I'm wrong??? Anyone else care to chime in? tnx, mk |

Does the bridge look funny? Is it padded with foam? mk |

Bridge looks different to mine(different saddle mounts), and you will need to change to a 5way switch, unless it has already been done. The only alteration on mine is the tuners and the switch, and it feels like the real deal. |

MK On a 3-pos switch, the rocker arm can actually balance in pos 2&4 even though there is no slot or niche for it to rest in. Somehow the spring tension just holds it half-way between the two legitimate positions. Originally, all Strats had 3-pos switches, until someone found that you could get two extrra positions and so Fender accommodated the discovery with a 5-pos switch. Sound like I actually know something, don't I? h |

I paid 275 for my 2375.... The fingerboard is completely flat, which was weird at first (for me). I have a spare bridge from a Silver Series if you're interested. I don't think the bridges changed much between the models. I'd probably pay up to 350 for one, in good shape (like yours appears to be). |

I passed. It went for $386 plus shipping. I was hoping it would go unnoticed. I was wrong. Better luck next time. mk |
