This is one of my favourite guitars, that I bought from a collector about 20 years ago ($200) He was about 70 years old and couldn't play much anymore. This Ibanez is in excellent condition short of a few scratches and it sounds very sweet. It has no serial numbers anywhere...too bad, I would have loved to know what year it was made.

Hi Buzzhaze Your Ibanez Goldtop was made somewhere in the period 1971/1973. If the fretboard ends at the side of the body are rounded (not good visible in the picture, but I believe so) then itīs more likely a ī71 or ī72. Pity that the tuners are replacements (I believe them to be Gretsch tuners?) Kind greetz, Harry |

I think they're Grover Imperials. Ginger |

Well, pretty close: Grover Super Rotomatics, same art deco knobs. About $43.- at Stewmac. Imperials are about $54.- Thechnically they will be allright, I guess. But I know what you mean Harry, they're a different style. It won't be so hard to trade them for keystone knob Grovers. They're about the same price. Ginger |

I had one a few years back... one of the pups never quite worked. A nice axe though with a real log for a neck! |

Hi guys I noticed that the neck pickup is different from the bridge pickup. Look at the screw-polepieces. If you look closely you also see that the mounting bolts of the neck pickup are slightly wider than those on the bridge pickup. The flat screw polepieces of the bridge pickup match the guitarīs age. I think the neck pickup is a replacement. Kindgreetz, Harry |

Hey, Eagle Eye, I think you're right. The bridge pickup seems to be a Maxon. Ginger |
