Here is something very interesting. Seller claims it's a 75 Rocket Roll that has had a makeover. Looks like an old DX model but I'm not totally hooked on the truss rod cover logo. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=1802666&mpre=ht tp%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D330063079499 My eyes are getting bad so what do you eagle eye types make of it? six |

I've only ever seen engraved logo TRCs on the 2387 '67 style Vs. BTW only the setneck '67s had the DX designation, that one's just a 2387. The stubby headstock lends itself to Fuji Gen Gakki build though (most other copies I've seen have the modern style longer & pointier headstock) |

It's been up before. Judging by the big tin of paint thinner in the background it's him who's doing the painting. Hope he's got a fire extinguisher. six |

He says it was made by the British artist, mentioned in the first ad. Both are serial number 9. So WHERE is this thing? In the UK or in the USA? And who owns it? And what shipping fees will you have to pay? This really stinks! It looks like the USA seller got extra pictures over the e-mail (like the Englishman offers to provide) and used them to sell a guitar he doesn't own (yet). Yuck! But, what I find interesting: The truss rod cover is the same material and shape as the Arbiter truss rod cover in the mystery flying V thread. The neck plate is totally different from the "Mystery V". So there is probably no connection between the Arbiter and Mystery V. Ginger |

I'm fairly sure mine (the Mystery V) is an Aria rebranded as Arbiter for the UK. The guitars are identical and having checked a couple of other Arbiters I could find on the net they are all Arias, possibly from the pre-Mat era - I'm not sure I want to get involved in that controversy though, hee hee. I may contact Arbiter today if I get time and see if they can shed any light on it. Failing that, I might try Seymour Duncan, who used to work for Arbiter in this period. Thre earliest mention I can find of the Arbiter Flying V is a chap on Harmony Central who bought his new in '74. |
