So don't pay the full price, because you'll have to buy these too, if you don't have them in stock. Besides, the pictures of the headstock are so dark, that you can't see how bad the drill holes are. I´d say it looks like a 2351 BS, but the BS had creme pickup rings, toggle switch surround plate, a creme pickguard and chrome hardware. Besides: in that case the bridge pickup shoul have the "open coil casings". Could it be a 2350 CS with faded red or even with no red at all? So (to fantasise about a name) maybe it is a 2350 BS? As far as I know 2350 only came in black, white and cherry sunburst. A 2351 would have trapezoid fretmarkers starting at fret no. 3 and no binding at the back of the body. Cmangeot Username: Cmangeot Registered: 04-2005 Posted on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 8:45 am:    I used to own this guitar, it is brown sunburst and a 2350, I can't find the post when I purchased it, but it is original and I sold it because the frets had little life left, and the neck pocket made cracking noises constantly when you held or played it. Plus, when I purchased it from guitar center, the neck pickup was facing the wrong direction, and when I changed it back, the output of the pickup never matched the volume of the bridge. I adjusted the height and tried alot of things, Oh well. Color is nice, but you have to be able to use them gents! Not original, but as I said in the post above, I gig with 90% of my collection on a regular basis. This is about to become a wall hanger. It's always good to have a set of $64.- Sperzels in the drawer for guitars you PLAY. Though I never had them, I know the quality level is very high, like Schallers. If you want locking machine heads, these two are the best choices, Depending on what you want chrome or gold. If you want chrome locking Schaller is still affordable ($10.- extra) If you want gold locking tuners you better buy Sperzels, because gold locking Schallers cost $60.- extra ($134,65). But I didn't change the originals on my 1976 minty 2355m. Just lucky they're still functioning 100%. But it's always a point of concern when you play a collectors piece. My friend bought out a music store and had probably 20 sets of sperzels, strings, straps, guitars, basses, banjos, mandolins, etc, etc, so parts are an easy commodity for me. I don't use sperzels on all of my guitars, just the ones I get with crappy tuners, like my 62 reissue strat, and a tele I built. I prefer Ibanez smooth or velve tuners. I even bought a used Aria SL guitar once, just for the 6 in line Gotohs for 8mm holes for my neck through body Strat. Actually it was a 3 guitars + 1 gold Schaller (?) set parts swap. I had some trouble getting the Aria back in shape, because the former owner had pretty ruined the tremolo (had to buy a block and an arm), but at least I had two natural neck through strats the way I wanted them: One with chrome parts (Gotoh and Wilkinson/Fender American Standard and one with gold Schaller(?) tuners and Gotoh vintage tremolo hardware and tortoise pick guard. I must say that the sustain improved on the one that had the cheap original tuners (a Jarock). It's good when tuners are rock solid, have some mass. But I changed more than just the tuners, so it's hard to say what the exact contribution of the tuners to the overall improvement was. (New gold Gotoh bridge, one or two MIJ pots, string trees, Fender switch). But it's important that the material is heavy and dense. Ginger
