The fingerprints are regrettable, sorry, but lend, I feel, authenticity to a working instrument, don't cha know. The colour in the pic is crap, as the camera is worth 50 times less than the guitar. Priorities right, then... I adore this guitar. It is all original apart from the bridge, which had a saddle missing when I bought it, and the bridge, which I replaced 20 years ago because it was cut up pretty bad. The pickups are the original zebra-striped Super 70s, but obviously I stuck the covers on myself for cosmetic reasons, the same reason the pick guard is removed. You will see it is an Antoria model, not an Ibanez. The owner before me super-glued a paper Gibson logo he'd cut out of a magazine across the Antoria logo on the headstock. The residue of the glue is still visible close up. D**k. Here's a funny thing. I'm gigging this guitar these days after a little while, and I'm finding the neck p-up is very subdued compared to the bridge p-up. Playing through a Pod through a small amp. The difference is not a problem as such, but I am just wondering if I have wired it up wrongly, when I re-installed the p-ups, or am I missing something else? They registered the same on a meter reading, btw. Fingersmcoy Username: Fingersmcoy Registered: 10-2006 Posted on Monday, January 22, 2007 - 8:48 am:    I've noticed from the little experience i have replacing pups is- w/ older guitars the pups may not be perfectly matched to the type of music your playing, and one set of pups may out perform the other set.(if you doing solo work as opposed rhythm.As long as the neck pup. works when switched, and you dont notice a major drop in vol.,also you dont hear an over powering hum,i would say you may want to up- grade w/a higher output set of pickups(in neck)P.S. as im typing im thinking it could also be other problems in the signal after it leaves your guitar.Have you tried running you guitar directly into an amp w/ no processing,to see if the problem still persists?
