Yep!, I think I have the answer: This must be the Les Paul model 2420 as pictured in the 1976 catalogue. Everything seems to match exept for the pickups: these look like DiMarzio's to me (or other replacements), while they should be goldplated "in case" humbuckers. The tortoise pickguard looks a little light, but that can be caused by using flashlight. And the control knobs....well, you never know with Ibanez. I've seen several models that were stock-fitted with various types of knobs. Please take a look at our site, search for the 1976 catalogue, the number 2420 and correct me if I'm wrong.
