Which generation of Les Pauls had better build quality, tonal characteristics, etc. I've owned early Ibanez LP copies but never a PF. Just wondering what I might be missing. Thanks |

better late than never: I think the PF series is better. I have had an early LP and played a few and the PF wins. I have a PF350 and it plays very nicely and sounds excellent. I still prefer my Gibson LP (74) but the difference is not big at all. Just different. I paid about $300 and for that price I think I got a bargain. PS: I much prefer the set necks.... PPS: does anyone know if a les paul pickguard fits? |

I have a PF300, PF200, and a Model 2350 and I don't know why but the PF200 seems to win a close race in my eyes. The PF's seem to show more attention to detail...a richer looking guitar. They all play really well but here again it seems loke the PF200 just was put together with a little more care. |
