So I recently picked up this wicked Jazzmaster copy from ebay, and it has no name on it. I've had a bunch of Jazzmster junkies tell me it's an Ibanez, and they told me to post some pictures here to get some other opinions/information. So, here you go: http://www.dorm.org/~ian/fleet/Jazzmaster.jpg http://www.dorm.org/~ian/fleet/Jazzmaster%20Headstock.jpg http://www.dorm.org/~ian/fleet/neckplate.jpg |

Hi Notbillcosby I think your Jazzmaster is an Ibanez. Every detail points in that direction. During a certain period in the early 70's Hoshino (the factory where -amongst other brands- Ibanez was made) produced a couple of badges without any logo on the headstock. I myself own a 1970/1972 Dan Armstrong copy, clearly Ibanez, but without a headstock logo. Your guitar was built between 1970 and 1972. Wanna sell??? Kind greetings, Harry |

Ibanez also, for some reason, was fond of putting metal truss-covers on their Fender copies. check out http://www.ibanez-vintage-page.de/ i think in the "special" section at the bottom. |
