Just picked up a real nice 80's Burny Les Paul copy. I know we're all Ibanez fanatics but this is a real sweetheart. It should arrive from Japan in a day or so. Please give me any feedback you can on Burny's and your experience with them. Thanks !! BigMike |

Hi Mike, Burny/Fernandes - same thing. High quality replicas much like Tokai and Greco. I owned a Burny 58' LP Special replica in limed mahogany for a while. An outstanding guitar. A friend has an original 57' LP spl' and from 6 feet, it was only the logo that gave it away. The Wrap over tailpiece was the same offset angle and even the holes on the scratchplate lined up with the original. Sound wise the Burny was a tad brighter than the original. My pal in London who bought the Burny LP spl' off me also has a Fernandes version of your LP that is really nice too. Like Tokai, Burny/Fernandes seem to have spent much time studying minute details of the original guitars. Especially important details like headstock angles on Gibson replicas. I own a few late 70's early 80's Tokai replicas that in my view are the best replicas money can buy. If like me you are into Les Pauls, then try and get hold of a Tokai Les Paul Reborn LS80, LS150 or top of the range LS200. Solid maple tops and one piece mahogany bodies and necks on the LS150/200. The LS80 is a solid plain top with one piece mahogany body and neck. They are getting expensive though. Lower specs like the LS100 (laminated flame cap) LS60 and LS50 (2 to 3 piece plain tops) are cheaper with 2 piece bodies so a little less desirable. The "Reborn" series were replaced by the "Love Rock" series about late 1980/81. Have fun six |

Sixvsix, Thanks for all the info. I'm in package tracking mode waiting for it to arrive. Got a day off setup so I get a couple days to horse around with it. Gonna use my Zoom PS-02 so I don't drive my neighbors too crazy with my jamming. Thank you, BigMike |
