I have an Ibanez bass that is based on the Burns Bison, with a few (major) differences. I am guessing it dates from about '64 based on other 6 strings of a similar style labeled Ibanez, Goldentone and Hi-Lo. The most obvious difference between it and a Burns is a 3+1 tuner arrangement (years before Music Man.) It has two chromed pickups, 4 black pickguards and a transparent red finish on a mahogany body with the ultra-pointed horns typical of a Burns. I have never seen another bass in this style, has anyone else seen one or know anything further about them? |

Hi Blackrabbit Have you checked our homepage http://www.ibanez-vintage-page.com There is pretty much to be found about 60's Ibanez. Greetz, Harry |
