I have a Silver Series blonde strat which I will describe below, it appears to be rather rare. L Series style "small headstock". Blonde (clear) finish. Ash body (white ash I believe it is called) Rock maple neck, maple fingerboard (skunk stripe) Star tuners (slotted type) Serial Number B782514 I have owned it since new and thus know it is original body and neck, etc.. I have never seen another "small headstock" Silver Series, they have all been "CBS style" large headstock models. Anybody know anything else about this guitar ? Everybody that has played it loves it, although the pickups and wiring have been modified so that much is no longer original. Most of these players are way better tham me. B] |

Hope you guys don't think I'm spamming here. I finally got some feedback after much searching and it appears that in February 1978 the factory built two Challenger strats and branded them as Silver Series strats. Mine is one of them. I think that means I might have a very rare one. Does anybody know more about this ? Does anybody have the other one ?!? |
