Strange Ibanez Les paul

Everything looks like a normal pre-serial black Les paul copy, but take a look at the headstock... The shape and the split-diamond are very different from what we know. Fake? It's rounded at the corners. This could be an earlier model, but looks suspiciously to me like it was manufactured in a different factory (think Aria, Cortez, Sekova, Bradley...).
