Hello all,

I've stumbled accross these forums in search for information about my Ibanez Les Paul replica, and I couldn't find any exact info about this particular model; however it seems interesting that several people say that Ibanez LP's don't have serial numbers prior to 1976, because mine is labeled L752461.

I'm not looking to sell the guitar, however I'd appreciate if someone has any info on this model. I'm interested in the general quality of this model (for example, how do they compare to original Gibson LP's from the same era), its rarity, and perhaps an estimate of value.

Thanks in advance. I won't bother to describe it, don't know the terminology too well; however I will provide some pictures (:

Hi Frantic,

You have got a nice, original model 2350. Is the hardware chrome or worn gold? In gold this guitar is pretty common, in chrome it is a bit less common. I have learned over here that the serialnumbers started appearing somewhere halfway 1975. I have a couple 75-ers myself. So there is nothing odd about a L75.

You'd better not compare this guitar to the real thing because it not a match at all. The power of those old Ibanezes was the cheap construction. Therefore it was much better affordable, but it shows in buildingquality. It is quit a nice guitar for the money though.

Take a look at this thread for the value of it:

You'll see it goes on average for 345 US$. I think yours is slightly above average.

Paul

Lespaul: thx a lot for the reply.

The hardware is chrome; it might have been gold once if the colour got worn out however I see no traces of gold on it so I reckon that's not the case.
