No one bid on this AR500 which surprised me. Yes it has some 'flaws', however, they didn't look that bad to me. Maybe a feedback on '1' was a turnoff. Someone might make the seller an offer and get a bargain... If so, please let us know. Ebay Item #270139703180 mk |

Sorry guys - don't bother contacting the seller as I just bought it! He's a really nice guy and we struck a fair deal all around. Feedback was an issue so we have an escrow type arrangement that will work well for both of us. He was really obliging and understanding. It will be on its way to Oz! I can't wait to get it, never having had an EQ model before. James |

You did the right thing to have him relist and then sell to you at your agreed upon price. If you pay via PayPal, you'll have a comfortable degree of protection. Nice deal! Congrats. mk |

Yes, Paypal was used. It is the safest method for a buyer in most cases. We agreed that I would raise a "dispute" immediately after purchase. This locks the funds in Paypal (or at least locks the seller from getting the money) until the dispute is resolved or a claim is raised and then this is resolved. I figured that it is effectively an escrow arrangement. The seller was fine with this as he saw my 100% positive feedback and he researched the dispute process. We worked through the whole thing over the phone also. I think he is a really nice and honest guy but just hasn't sold much stuff on eBay and understood my position in terms of risk. He will definitely get the funds if I get the guitar. He also has postal insurance so is covered if it gets lost or damaged also. I recently had to raise a dispute on a non-communicative seller so I learnt a lot about the process. I had paid for the item but didn't hear a thing from him for over a week. Luckily, he would not have had time to get the funds from Paypal as it takes 5-7 working days here. I raised the dispute, locking the funds. He finally contacted me and finally sent the item to me. It was worth the hassle but it was the worst buying experience of my life and very stressful. I was prepared to take him to court as I found out a lot of personal stuff about him including where he worked, as he had a myspace page with the same user name as his eBay ID. I felt lucky when I found this out. |

Hey Michael, I just saw your completed listing for the AR500CS. What a beautiful guitar. You got a great price for it and it looks to be in such great condition. Maybe it would have gone even higher if you had a straight auction? I hope you don't miss that one too much! James |
