hi guys ( and perhaps girls ) just picked up my hardware parts wich were replated by the small amsterdam compagny i always go to ! its stunning to see a guitar come to life and shine again for the second time... i will ask john if he will put some pics along with this story of the rebirth of my 1981 ar 300 brass beauty cs (or should i now say gold beauty?) |

with gold she 's even better.... i like the tri sound when i switch the switch towards me which is i think the paralel option and then turn the tone knob all the way shut so you get a sound a bit like the money for nothing dire straits quak/wah a bit closed sound... |

You are right the gold does bring out the best in her more than the brass. I have yet to experience tri sound on an artist. I've had other guitars custom wired to do the same thing and I liked it. |

Ekkerman, so what is the name of the company who does these excellent jobs, could be handy for other members. I have some have some gibraltar II hardware and Ibanez/Gotoh HQ tremelos laying around which need a job. Prices tips etc etc... |

here's the email address, ask for the head honcho named hans van moorselaar. i payed for all hardware on the brass beauty eccept the pick ups a measley 200 euro's so that wont break yout wallet. info@spectrachrome.eu just say that youve got this address from ekkerman did you see the job they did on my 2622 ? if the hardware is smooth it'll shine but if it is a bit rough and pitted it will shine less but still be better than it was before the plating job!! good luck and if youve done it post pics please!!! |
