Hi Everyone, I Just purchaced my first Artist, I was told this was built for the Japanese Market, and that it was included in a Japanese Catolog 199?, but not in the American Catalog in 199? I was hoping someone could shed some more light as far as information and quality of the guitar. It seems wonderfully made, and sounds good, i'll try to include some pics here. Thanks for any info anyone could share |

Sorry about how the pics came out, and there is NO serial number on this guitar at all that I can find. But it is in mint condition. |

Thats the funny part, I can not find a serial number anywhere on this guitar, it says made in Japan under the bridge |

If the made in japan is stamped on the bridge itself then the bridge was made there. Can you post some pics of it inluding the back of the headstock in a close up? |

Jerry, There is a thread regarding this particular guitar...I know because I originally sold it to the guy you bought it from-in fact the pictures were taken in my shop ! I think we decided it was a '99 based on the headstock shape and the Gotoh PUPS. There was never any serial number on this guitar..You should be able to purhase the sure grip II's almost anywhere as Ibanez is still using them (I think) |

Thanks Dave, I'll try to locate the thread, its not that important, because with a few tweeks, its proving to be a great guitar, I was mostly puzzeled by the newness, but yet the lack of a serial number.....didn't make sense , seems all others I have seen were numbered, it just made me curious. Thanks again |
