Hello everyone! I'm just a starter in these guitar things. Recently I bought a used JS1000 and there are a few issues about the guitar that I would like someone to explain. How does the tap coil work? How do you engage the tap coil? I've also heard that the JS1000 has a high pass filter (I think that's how you call it); what is this high pass filter and how does it work? And what are the push pull knobs, how do they work? Is that what you call normal knobs? These questions are pretty stupid, but I'm portuguese and you probably know that these things have other designations in portuguese and most of the dictionary's don't have this technical stuff, so I really don't know what these names stand for. regards Paulo Portugal |

Norinradd: Sorry nobody has been able to give you an answer. Satriani models don't get much talk around here. Don't know why. You might have a better chance of getting an answer at www.jemsite.com. |

I don't know anything about a high-pass filter. The JS1000 in my store has two coil-tap switches. Pulling out the volume knob taps the Neck pickup, pulling out the tone knob taps the Bridge pickup. Steve |

Thanks guys! Now I know what the tapcoil is and how it works. About the high pass filter, I've read somewhere that it has something to do with the highs at high volume, I'm not really sure about this... Regards Paulo |
