I have an RG560 w/ a snakeskin finish. Here's a couple of pics:
http://www.ronsound.com/ebay/ct%20001.jpg
http://www.ronsound.com/ebay/ct%20002.jpg
http://www.ronsound.com/ebay/ct%20003.jpg
The neck pocket says "KIT 560". I know the neck is incorrect because the guitar had a 22 fret neck on it when I bought it, leaving an open space where frets 23 and 24 would cover. I sold it and bought the current neck on Ebay. Is it the right style neck or do I need something with the fancier inlays? The neck is labeled RG-550R, but is it the same as the 560? |

I think the necks for the 550, 560, and 570 from that time period (with the heel plate), before they went to the AANJ. Looks like a perfect fit! If I remember correctly, the 560's were only made for one year? |

Thanks for the info! Any idea when the snakeskin finish was availble? |

Actually, looks like it was in production for more than one year. http://www.ibanezregister.com/Gallery/RG/gal-rg560.htm No idea on the snakeskin. Did it look like a factory finish when you had the neck off (was the pocket unfinished?). I bet someone here has more info. |

Actually, I re-read your original post, and it answered my question. |
