Hey guys, new here; found this site by attempting to search for info about the Ibanez Voyager and in particular, the green RBM Voyager I just bought. I'm in the Nashville area and at the music store where I teach guitar, a metallic green Voyager with a gold pickguard came in on consignment. I nearly bought one several years ago when I lived in the Pittsburgh area. One of Reb's Voyagers was available, but one of the guitar teachers at the store in Pittsburgh I used to teach at bought it. It was finished identically, with a metallic green. I was led to believe by former Winger guitar tech Dave L. (who also worked at the same store), that green was not a color offered to the public, but was made as a one-off for Reb. One of my former guitar students bought an identical Voyager in metallic red. That's why I was very surprised to see this guitar in the store here. I called my old buddy back in Pittsburgh and asked if he'd sold his Voyager. He still has it. So there are at least two now. Can anyone shed any light on this? How common were these guitars in this color? Thanks in advance! |

Hi Nuno! I have a metallic green RBM with gold mirror pickguard and hardware. I've also seen a few for sale on ebay, from time to time. More, I've only seen RBM's in green, black, red or natural finish (the RBMII with koa top, I think). By the way, does anybody know where can I get a new gold mirror pickguard for a RBM? |
