Ibanez M100C Case

Not really a high end case or anything, but I bought it to replace a case that had this smell I couldn't get rid of. The case I'm replacing either sat in front of a fog machine for too many gigs, or was owned someone that burned incense 24/7. So...I purchase a M100C case for one of my Ibanez RG guitars (520QS). http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-IBA-M100C.html Anyway, as best as I can describe, the BRAND NEW case smells like an imitation (chemical) version of a 68 Volkswagon Bug!!!!! (think mildew). I guess I could send it back, but I got it outside airing out... the smell really transfers to the guitar... I know... seems goofy to be talking about case stank, but I thought you guys might be intersted... For what it's worth, the new case has a nice blue, plush interior... Fits like a glove... I'm shipping it back. And all along I thought I was doing better than these ebay folks who pay more than retail for the case. Sure has a nice interior! At least AMS was able to pay for the return trip home, so it didn't cost me anything. My only concern is with the handle. I don't think the hardware that attaches it to the case is very durable. mk
