Guys, I'm thinking of purchasing a JEM. Anyone have any insight on the Team J Craft designation (besides they're crafted in Japan)? Are they producing better guitars than the guitars without this designation? I'm just trying to separate marketing hype from reality. Thanks |

Brent, The "Cowboy" guitar is a Team J creation. I recently had the priviledge of obtaining one of these beasts and have been putting it thru the paces for the last month or so....I am flabergasted ! The fit and feel, playability and "WOW" factor alone equal , and in many ways surpass, the quality of the guitars produced in the so called "Golden Age". While I am not familar with the JEM series, I do have some experience with Vintage Artist, Professional, Concert, and Performance guitars of the '76-'79 era, as well as the high quality clones of '74-'76....if the "Cowboy" is any indication of the attention to detail and worksmanship of the "J team", they are producing amazing quality ! |
