Hello, I bought this guitar from a friend some time ago. Since then both he and I forgot the exact make/model of it. From what he remembered he thought it is some kind of Saber SLTD? He also claims it is the model that Joe Satriani used before he got his own series and that Alex Skolnick used on Testament's Souls Of Black CD. Here is what I do know so far. It is custom made with 22 frets. The serial number (imprinted on headstock) is #F201373. Which from I have gathered means that it is a guitar from the Fugijen factory made in 1992 being the 01373th guitar produced. Here is a link with some pictures of the guitar (in flash format); http://www.pixelspit.com/temp/whichibanez.swf If some one needs the pictures in a different format just let me know. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out! zer0eight |

Yeah, looks like a Radius 540R-LTD. Someone else might have more info, but I'd imagine the neck was made in Japan, but the guitar was assembled at the LACS. Just based on the heel plate... |

Actually, it looks closer to an Sabre 540-LTD. http://www.ibanezregister.com/images/images-s/s540ltd/s540ltd-94usa.jpg Did you pop the trem cavity cover to see if it had a Ibanez back stop? |

Hi, Brent's second take is correct! It's a '92 540SLTD made in Japan in the FujiGen plant. That's a nice looking one. IMO, your guitar is one of the finest examples of the Sabre line. Satriani primarily played the Radius series, on which his sig. model is based. I don't believe he played a Sabre, but there are plenty of heavy weight players who did. You can review the catalog pages here http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/us/1992/s.jpg http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/us/1992/s_2.jpg The price list is at the site too. -Sven |

Hello again, Thanks so much Brentm and Funkle! Your information was excellent, I think we have it identified Sadly, I do not play it much at all anymore. It is in great condition. The body has some light scratches, selector switch has some static noise, maybe intonation is off a little. But overall it is in good shape for a guitar it's age. Just a little TLC and the minor issues can be fixed. What do you all think it is worth? I will prolly be putting it on ebay soon. Thanks... zer0eight |

You'll get a good idea searching completed auctions on eBay for pricing. I'd guess ~500-550. |
