I got a black RS440 that's been owned by a school. The guitar is in quite a terrible condition. Biggest problem is the E6 string saddle at the bridge, it is broken in two. Other than that it's filled with scratches and dents, frets worn pretty bad, but still working.

I've got two choices. I sell the parts of the bridge as spares, and use the pickups and other parts for other projects. Or, I try to find a replacement string saddle for the bridge, and make it original but terribly worn. And probably sell it.

I already have an RG140bk '86 and I don't like Floydish bridges, so I don't think I would play it too much myself.

What would You do? What would You suggest I do? :-) I know this is a decision for me to make, I just want to think aloud, and with You guys.

Part it out. RS440's are plentiful. Since this one is in rough shape, it's an excellent parts donor.

Sounds like the smart choice. Although, Finnish markets for used Roadstars have almost died! Haven't seen a Roadstar for sale for several, several months. Except for my own RG200 '86, that is...

I did decide that I don't need another Roadstar, but since I do look at the catalog scans almost weekly, I continuously spot models that I think I should have! :D (any non-floyd non-AR from '78-'88, AM300/400)
I guess I'm not alone with this syndrome...
