Hi, I am looking at a very tidy Japanese RX with a Photo flame top, h-s-h pups, two point trem thats a US standard strat look alike, and gold hardware. Thats prety much all the info I have! I cant play it as its an online sale and about 3 hours drive away... so if anyone has any thoughts on what this might sound like, be made of, where it fits onto the quality framework, or the neck profile I would be very greatfull. I know everything is subject to personal taste, but I am in the dark on this one, and need some light! If anyone can tell me how to upload a picture I will post one. Thanks. |

Hmm, have to agree with Eric on that. I once owned an RX650 spot production and i think all the RX series were made in Korea, not Japan. Stand to be corrected, of course. Try find out if the tone knob is a coil tap switch, if it is, then you probably have an RX350, 650 or 750. See this thread for specs: http://www.ibanezcollectors.com/discus/messages/14/10430.html No hang on, yours is sth completely different and not in any of the US cats... |

Yeah... I am wondering about the serial no. as well. F denotes japanese origins, C means Korean right? But FC? Do you think that the F may have been added to the serial number? The sticker, well I just dont know... There is in the forums history a Japanese RX somewhere, but its a flashy beast. I was wondering if it might be an RX 170 or simmilar. I am glad for your input, I am just making un-educated guesses |
