So, a couple of years ago my friend Dave buys a guitar. It's explorer shaped, with an Ibanez shaped headstock. He didn't pay much, probably beacuse it had been painted in black gloss paint complete with runs.

I bought it off him, stripped off two(!) layers of gloss paint and find a nice finish underneath. It's by not means perfect looking, but it plays good and fills my need for a set neck mahogany body electric.

I spent two hours today playng with the soldering iron, following the Seymour Duncan schematics on the website. And it still doesn't work! ARGH!! I think I screwed up the grounding, I'm not sure. If anyone has done one, advice would be useful :-)

Still, it sounds good acoustically :-)
