Paul, you're now officially listed as one of the very few Artfield owners at http://www.ibanezartfield.com/ - John M |

@Johns Heartfielder's Artfield has a bolt-on neck. Another artfield mysterie. I don't think your artfield has that too or does it? |

Johnm, I see no mystery here, Johns's guitar is not an AFD5 AM-Z, what he has is an AFD5CTTB-Z which has the vine inlays, set-in neck and was available in AM & TB finishes !! Look at the catalog on your site, my friend !! See ? I have an AFD5 AM-Z. I will keep searching till I find one with the vines though !!! |

JohnM: I didn't notice the bolts. Mine's a set neck: But it looks like the construction is so close. The neck joint looks to be the same. I'd like to try both of these to see if there is any difference in the sound, between some glue and the four bolts. |

Heartfielder: I like the wood on your guitar a lot! Except for the vine and some bolts, both look remarkably similar. Does your's have a serial number? Did you find your's in Europe or the US? Would you mind if I grab your pictures off of photobucket and include them in this thread so everyone can see them? |

Johns, Go right ahead. The s/n is I900014. I got it in France. Spectacular player. I also have an AFD25 AM that Johnm has pics of also. I got that in Amsterdam and it has some awesome custom inlay work. I will include a few pics of that as well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v39/heartfielder/NewpicAFD.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v39/heartfielder/NewpicAFD2.jpg |
