Which Icemans are low end models?

I don't plan on spending $1000 to get a super nice one but I don't want to get a clunker that doesn't sound good or play decent. I noticed the IC300s and IC400s usually go for more on ebay, but what about IC50s or IC200s. Any info would be greatly appreciated.   Skybone Username: Skybone Registered: 03-2001 Posted on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 - 1:12 pm:    The period you're looking at includes the "transition" (around 1980) where Ibanez re-vamped the model range across the board, and specifically for the Iceman, changed the range. IC200's are great guitars, and the IC50's are quite basic (though still decent guitars), I'm guessing, but I think the IC100 will be sort of on a par, or slightly better than the IC50. IMO FWIW: Go for a pre '80 IC200 and you won't regret it. Saying that, the recent Korean built IC400's (set neck) are pretty damn good too, and well worth considering, the spec's are the same as those of the '70's IC200's.
