Does anybody know what this guitar could be ? It looks like a 442R but with a RW fretboard ? Or a R355 with different pickups... I can't find a match in any of my catalogs. The body looks too flat to be a Radius and it has a 6-screw trem. The white pickguard doesn't match up either. Steve |

do you think it's a custom guitar (strat body + ibanez neck ?) or something like that ? |

Yes ! It was made in japan, 1992 http://acdc77.free.fr/chewie/ibanez2/IMG_0105.JPG I don't think any RX is MIJ Maybe this model has been made during the switch from MIJ RT's to MIK RX's.... |

That's a strange one. I think all the EX and RX models were MIK. It's not an RT - RTs had 24 frets and sharper edges. It resembles an Andy Timmons model AT100, but the AT has 3 knobs, and a maple fretboard. My guess is it's either a parts guitar (EX with a MIJ neck added) or a non-US model that never appeared in the catalog. |

The body shape is wrong for the EX or RX series. The horns should be much sharper like an RG. Steve |

problem is that I don't see exactly which model it could be (not a strat, not a RT or RX, not exactly like a Radius...) |

It looks like RV470 to me.The orig.pickgaurd would have been CLEAR!! Anybody remember these?? I think they all had pretty photo-flame tops though....maybe a model not sold in the U.S.?? |

Nope, an RV470 would have a Hum/Sing/Hum pickup arrangement and a two point trem. As I posted earlier, this guitar is too flat to be a Radius model. My feeling is that it's an Ibanez neck on another body. Steve |

There was something called the R335BS available in '92 and '93. The body and neck look like a match, but the features aren't right. The R335 had gold hardware, TZ-6 trem, clear pickguard, H-S-H pups and AANJ. The pickguard, pups and knobs look just like a Fender...not Ibanez from the early '90s. |
