How can I find out what model my RG is? It has a V7/V8 set of humbuckers and a S1 in the middle position... a Floyd Rose Edge tremolo - double locking nut, and bolt on neck. The serial number begins with F00 and it says made in Japan on the headstock. I can't even remember what year I bought it, but it was definitely after 1987; bought it brand new from a local music dealer for almost $800, I believe |

Blaktatt99: The serial number indicates a 1990 manufacture date. However, if it was made late in 1990, it could be made to 1991 model specs. Only problem is that the V7/S1/V8 pup configuration was not used in the early 90s (it was V1/S1/V2 or F4/C2/F2). They did use the V7/S1/V8 config on RGs in 2000. Take a look at the catalogs, on this site and see if you can find a match for your guitar: http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/index.htm |
