I have a purple Ibanez EX140 and a couple of questions. I believe the serial# 9016241 shows it as a 1990 model, but the catalog doesn't list purple as an available color. Am I wrong about the year? Also, do you know where I can find a wiring diagram? I need to replace the selector switch and the kid I bought it from wired the existing one the wrong way. Thanks for any info you can give. |

1990 is likely correct. As for the color, it's either been refinished or it's a color that wasn't available when the catalog was printed. Ibanez was nortorious for doing that. I cain't help wid the diagram, sorry. The Bear |

Thanks for your reply, Mr roadstar. It's the exact shade of purple as an EX 360 I saw in a catalog, and doesn't appear to have been refinished. I found a good wiring diagram for an H/S/S setup, but did this model come with a 5-way or 3-way switch? It has a 3-way now, but I don't trust what the previous owner did to it. Also, do you know what the make of the pickups were in this model, especially the Humbucker? |

Ibanez didn't publish much useful info on the pickups in these guitars. I suspect it originally had a 5-way switch. The Bear |
