hi all, its been a while since ive last visited. just a question for whoever might be in the know. in my local cash converters i stumbled upon a guitar, strat looking which has CT series, (or GT) cant really make it out and then in smaller print next to it was written IBANEZ in the newer font as is written on all the RG's and jems etc. It is most peculiar, it is a bolt on with 3 single coils, basically resembles a strat, the headstock is like ive never seen on any ibanez, not even the copies. then on the neck plate, it says IBANEZ, has a serial number with no letter in it, it is only 8 or 9 numbers, ( a format that i have never seen for ibanez) and it says made in korea???? i suspect its a fake? anyone heard of this or does this description sound familiar to anyone??? please help, if its genuine i might just buy it.. |

Ibanez CT series exist. As six string guitars and basses. Korean serial numbers without a letter exist also. BTW Who would fake an rather unknown Korean guitar? It's not a JEM or GB10... I found a second hand price of $350.00 for a CT bass, and there are a few on ebay now for about $50.=. Try it but don't pay too much. It's not a real collectible. Greetz, Ginger |
