I bought this at Manny's in NYC in 1993. It has a Floyd Rose Trem and the pickups are labeled "QM1, QMS1, QM2". It has "Custom Made" written on the neck at the 22nd fret. Here is the posting from Craig's List. Thanks https://accounts.craigslist.org/post/shwpst?pii=216455657&db=lv |

Simcha: Looks nice. Can you give us the serial number? I would suspect something like F92xxx or F93xxx. |

1994 S540OL (pgs 26 & 27, 1994 catalog, USA 2nd printing). The 1993 version is shown with F1/C3/F2 pickups (pg 17, 1993 catalog USA printing). The Bear |

Thanks for the ID. The serial is F348243. Is the S540 OL a rare guitar? I can't find anything about in online. Mr Roadstar, is this is the 93 or 94 version? From what I read about the serial numbers, this is a 93 I think. Any idea on how much I can sell this for? |

'93 build date ( according to the serial number), '94 model (according to the catalog info). Production starts before the calendar year so new models can hit the shelves early. It probably fits into somebody's definition of "rare", but then so do half of the guitars Ibanez makes. The Bear |
