Ooops. I started this thread in the wrong area apparently. Anyway need some help as I'm brand new to the world of vintage Ibanez. Is the DT 350 the same guitar as the X series guitar? I have noticed only one DT 350 on Ebay the last month and it went for $850. But there have been a couple X series that have gone for less than $300. I am looking at a guitar that the owner says is a DT 350. It is black with a red fret board. Any help would be really, really appreciated. Wayne |

The DT-350 was marketed in the USA & Europe under the X series logo. In Japan it still had the "Destroyer II" logo. The DT-350 did NOT have the laminated red fret board. If the guitar you are looking at has the laminated red fret board it is a DT-250... |

Forgot to mention the DT-350 had a bound body the DT-250 did not. |

Ok. So is the DT 250 worth more than the DT 350? |

Laaz: Why would the DT250 be worth more than the DT350? |

The DT-250 should not be priced higher. That other auction smells fishy to me. The DT-350 is a better animal... |

I have had two DT-250's I could never get used to the laminated fretboard. I can't tell you why someone would want one. John as you stated the DG series had a killer top. There was also a DG-555BK Detroyer, but good luck trying to locate one. The DG-555BK headstock had a more narrow point to it & also had the edge trem. I have only seen one in person once. Very rare item. |

You're right. You had me standing on the wrong foot by the word "so". It's the 250 that's laminated not the 350. The Argus list is also wrong. Pity there are no DTs in Russelw's database. The only pricelist scan I could find is 1984: http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/price/1984/Feb/p01.jpg It shows only prices of DT150, 155, 500 and 550. The higher the type nr the better the materials and the higher the price. Ginger |
