How would you date this one? Jan of 1987 MIJ? A hybrid of the old pre-87 dating procedure and the newer post-87 one? Thanks-- Scott |

Ibnzplyr: That would be a good guess to start with. The way to confirm is to compare the guitar to pictures in the catalogs. Unfortunately, there is very little documentation from 1987. But you might find a match in the '86 cats. Can we see some pictures of this guitar? Or at least a description? |

Hello John: It's a Turbot, so it must be 1987. By the way, this is the only MIJ Turbot I have heard of. The others I have seen are all USA made! I have one of those, too. Rare guitars and really cool!!! So, back to the topic, it looks like there is a hybrid dating scheme that was used that combines the pre-1987 with the post-1987 in 1987. I haven't seen anyone mention this. Scott |
