OK - it shows in at least one '79 catalog with Super 80's. This one looks like is has V2's which could very well be original. I cannot find it in any '80 catalogs. Very unusual... mk |

Fingers: it's the single tri-sound that matched the AR200 from the '79 catalog... mk |

Guys: It's an '81 AR100 with an added mini-switch. Besides the serial number, another indicator is that the neck is set farther into the body than the '79 AR200. The V2s are correct. |

I wasnt sure if it was an add on switch. The AR100 looks exact(less the switch)Although i was reading a post on the Ibanez forum and someone described an Ar200 that sounded very much like the guitar in question?Hmmmmm!! |

AR 200 was made 1979-80 only and was equipped with Super80 pickups.. That neck joint is "Smooth heel"- version on real AR 200s, i believe. AR 105 is burl-mahogany topped one so this specimen is very likely AR 100 with added mini toggle.. Condition looks great, though.. |

I too believe this is an AR100 with added/modded mini-toggle. The V2's are the correct pups, as stated. The AR105 looked similar but had Super58's and burl top. Here's a shot of my AR105 for comparison:
