Although the page says AR500, it's an AR3000. On his homepage, he does say AR3000.

If someone wants to download the pictures from the site and post them here, though would be worthwhile as who knows for how long the link will be active.

Strings: got GAS yet??

Btw..If someone wonders why this guitar has Gibraltar II -bridge..It is mainly because he was going to have the original Gibraltar re-plated.. Also take a look at those little abalone dots by the controls, it is also a feature found both in AR 5000 and also in AR 3000..

Na MK...don't like the grain here and now I realize what a much-better design and tone the '79 AR500 posseses (just my NSHO) now that I have one from that series.

But this STILL gives me GAS!:

PS...why the hell are we discussing these vintage beauties in a section that is underscored by the word "pointy"

e.g: "If it was made in the '80s or '90s, is *pointy* and says: "Ibanez" on the headstock - this is the place to talk it up." 80's+ or not :\

I dunno...80's is 80's. I was just trying to do the right thing. I agree...to me, this is vintage. For some reason, I think that Artists through 86 should be in the same topic, although, my preference goes through the earlier 80's.

We've been through this before with Johns. There' no easy answer.
