Our own "Redscuderia" (eBay's "jcfli") has dropped another rare beauty onto the "Bay". This time it's an '83 AR1505AV. It features a spruce top, brazilian rosewood fretboard and Super 58 Jazz pups. Ebay Item #120126878256 As usual, the price of admission to the very exclusive AR1505 club is steep. |

Yes, the price is steep...but any comparable Brazilian Rosewood, handmade solidbody in excellent would probably go for double the amount. That is a very nice AR1505!! I'm surprised the seller listed a BIN rather than a high reserve. Let's see how fast it sells. |

I have a sneaky suspicion that I've held this guitar (and the AR1500 that's currently for auction) in my grubby hands. It was a few years ago, but I can't imagine that this combo of rare guitars would be duplicated in the state of NJ. |

I am VERY happy to say the AR1500CS has found a great new home, in the United States, with a collector of Ibanez guitars. He has told me he is also a member of this forum. I believe he has a very nice, extensive collection of Artist series guitars. Believe it or not, it makes a difference to me where these guitars end up. More to life then money, you know. Johns--I am thinking you have held both these AR's. I didn't see any "Grubby Hand" prints on the neck, though. I have just made the AR-1505AV auction a BEST OFFER listing. I really do not want to see this one go, so like is said above--the price of admission is high. I do not HAVE to sell it. If it doesnt sell, I might just keep it for my daughters 18th birthday (she just turned 2) and perhaps she can buy a Corvette with the sale. |

Interesting 1505 in Germany. I have never seen one with gold pickup rings. I have one in player plus condition that was the subject of a thread here a couple years ago by the previous owner. They are really nice axes! Rick |
