Sorry to hear about your loss. I've never had a guitar stolen, but I believe there are some places on the web to register stolen guitars. Maybe someone else knows for sure. I would say that having the serial number is crucial to confirming it's your axe if/when someone finds it. Good lesson for us all to document this stuff. Fender has a website that has some serial number info. try: http://www.fender.com/./e/05.html |

Is there anyone, who can tell me how many 7-string S- models were produced, since I might have the option of buying one. I would like to know how, what would be a reasonable price for this(it has some scratches, but is in a general good condition) Please mail me at mjeurissen@hotmail.com, Thank you for reading this |

Well, I can't give you an exact number, but there were approximately 500 made, most of which were black. There were a few red ones made, so if you have an oportunity to buy, snatch it up! So far, they haven't proven extremely collectable, so unless there are provable unusual circumstances with the guitar, I would say they're not worth more than $1200. Another thing to keep in mind is that the light S body combined with the heavier seven string neck makes the guitar rather uncomforatble to play on a strap. With that in mind (and based on what's available today in the seven string market), I wouldn't personally pay more than $750/$800 for one. They're certainly unusual, but anything dramatically over $1K would be unresonable. Let us know what happens! |

I own a Sabre 7string and an RG7. It is only slightly heavier, but isn't as cool because it is H/S/S where my RG has H/H with the five way switch. I don't regret owning it and I probably would never sell it or trade it (except for an original white or multicolor Universe). I believe Kyle is right on the count and I've only seen reds and blacks, though Munky from Korn owns a transparent green own with green pickups and green dot inlay. Also it only has 22frets. If you are buying for nostaligia, plan on spending high because of production run quantities. Check ebay--I thought I saw 2 for sale. If you just want one, go buy one from Musician's Friend or Guitar Center. I think it's about $1000 for a transparent blue flame top with H/H & a 5way switch and All Access Neck Joint(AANJ). I think eventually Ibanez with release this model again. Laters-- James |

I'm looking to pick up a 7 string and need some advice.I have a chance to pick up a mint '99 7620 in GN with a hardcase for $500.Good deal, bad deal?I can't aford to go full tilt gonzo for one of the $1000 + models but would like to get as close to top of the line as possible. This one plays awsome but is there something better(for $800 or under) or is this the middle road between entry and top line?
