I have owned this guitar from new. it is black withwhite binding. It has a couple of knocks and the usual belt scratches. I was offered £300 part ex but have heard some guitarists will pay over £3000 for old examples. Any one any idea how i should sell it? |

Geezer What a great English Name!!!! An IC200 wouldn't be worth anywhere near 3000 pounds - I doubt any model Iceman or PS10 could come close to that. Maybe only Paul Stanley's original Cracked Mirror PS10. In Australia, an IC200 would probably bring $1,200 in mint condition (400 pounds). As far as I can tell, only the IC400 and PS10 models are worth big money. Oh, also perhaps the original Artist model of the Iceman from the 1975 - 1977 period. Check out vintageibanez.com for full info on Iceman models. Regards, Mark |

Geezer, I've seen a couple of vintage Iceman's (Icemen?) in and around, the nearest I've seen to yours was an original 80(?) IC300, which was in a shop for about £700 (it was in reasonably good nick though). The same shop had an IC200 in about a year and a half ago and that went for about £500. Another local shop had a 79 IC400 in for £1500!!!!! and it was a bit ratty (had a nice top though!) if it would have been about £1000 I'd have seriously thought about it! £300 isn't a lot part ex, depends on where you tried PXing it. Try a Vintage/Collectable guitar shop, they should give you a good idea of what its worth and / or a deal on it. I paid that for a '94 re-issue Iceman! |
