I'm looking to figure out what model RG-7 I have. The guy at the store where I bought it from said it was an RG-7620 but a friend of mine showed me his new 7620 at a show and his neck has a brown stripe of wood down the middle of the back, as opposed to mine which is all one color. Mine is dark red and I believe was made in 99 as the first 3 digits in the serial number are F99. Any insight would be appreciated! |

Ben Yes, F99 says Fuji Gakki (something like that) for the factory it was made in, which locates in Japan. The first niner tells it to be made in '89 or '99. Should be pretty easy to figure if it is 2 or 12 years old. The "stripe" on the back of the neck might be only a difference in manufacturing year. Your guitar might well be the same RG-7620, but made in a different year. That's all I can say for helping. :o) Aki. |
