That is the worst picture I've ever seen. Here's what I found: It is an EX1700F in black (also came in trans purple) and I have specs on it from a Fall 1993 supplemental catalog (with Paul Gilbert @the newsstand). It's not in the regular 1993 catalog nor in 1991 or 1994 (don't have a 1992 catalog). Apparently they were discontinued by 1994 because the EX bodies were called RX guitars, or at least the flat top ones like that. I think Ibanez likes to throw out semihollow guitars every now & then (Talman were most recent) in tribute to the Telecaster Thinline guitars with the F-hole (like on violins). I personally hate all the ones Ibanez has made, but someone buys them, so some people are fans of them. I think this sold around $300-400. The rest of the info is this: Model: EX1700F Finishes: BK, TP Body Mat'l: Light American Maple (Semi hollow) Neck Mat'l: 1 piece maple Neck type: EX100 (square bolt. Only EX370 has something like an AANJ) Frets: 22/jumbo Fingerboard: maple Inlay: black dot Bridge: Full action II (2 point strat trem-not recessed) Hardware color: gold Pickups: Powersound Hum/Single/Hum Hope this helps-- James |
